Katie Smith joined LGR as an intern in the summer of 2023 and continued reading for the agency until fall of 2025, when she was hired full-time. She currently assists agents Daniel Greenberg, Danielle Svetcov, Kerry Sparks, Lindsay Edgecombe, Monika Verma, Sarah Bedingfield, and Victoria Skurnick. She also assists CFO Melissa Rowland.

Katie graduated from Stanford University in 2024, where she majored in English with a creative writing emphasis and minored in both education and religious studies. She received an MPhil in Education from the University of Cambridge in 2025 through their Critical Approaches to Children’s Literature program. Her master’s thesis focused on contemporary rural representation in American young adult fiction. While living in New York City, she remains a proud Hoosier.
